This Is My STORY.....
Nadiyah Yemi Khalid was a victim of Domestic Violence for over several years and now she is a SURVIVOR. Nadiyah has overcome overwhelming personal and professional difficulties in her life journeys. She graduated from DeVry University of Columbus Ohio with an Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration and is currently working on her Masters Science of Psychology degree with the University of Phoenix. Nadiyah is the mother of four children and on her life journey deals with everyday glories and setbacks. Nadiyah has emerged at a ...
far different place from where she once started with a far more positive and humbling perspective on life than anyone could ever imagine.
Nadiyah Yemi Khalid has experienced the healing journey from despair to self-reliance that she so fervently wants others to take and embrace. From her troubled past, she has emerged as a winner and she is still a work in progress. Nadiyah is committed to an eclectic message of divine power, self-empowerment, and self-determination. As an domestic advocate, public speaker, and author of titled book Stolen Innocence: My Journey to Healing has chosen to take her readers, supporters and audience by the hand and led them down the path of self-discovery, self-help, self-empowerment, and self-love. Nadiyah quotes one of her favorite quotes by public speaker (Iyanlya Vazant)"all this social and self-improvement was made possible, however, only by "tapping the power within."
If we think of life as a twenty-four hour day, we know to expect twelve hours of light and twelve hours of darkness." Arriving at this realization would point the way up and out of a valley. The way out always involves a choice: spiritual growth, faith, and strength, or in the words of public speaker Iyanlya Vazant "the stuff our grandmothers were made of, women choose faith in God instead of the things that provide illusory comfort.".
